Its a terrible world we live in I'm affraid, natural disasters seem to be happening more and more frequently these days!:mad:
I don't expect Britian will be sending too much financial help to the pore buggers, as Britian is skint!:frown:

Tragic, My friend is in Queensland and has sent photos from her house , 26cm of rain in 8 hours.
I have family/cousins over there and the ones the other side of Oz are struggling with bush fires, not a good place to be at the moment.

My daughter lives in Brisbane, Queensland. I know she's alright tho cos her house is up a hill and............................................... .....she's over here at the moment:smile:

Guess the country will be ok financially just devastating for families to lose everything. There goes the insurance premiums again

The stories are getting more tragic as they unfold - today we heard of a young lad (non-swimmer) who told rescuers to save his younger brother first from their swamped car then got swept away with his mum a moment later. That got me so choked up, more so when I thought of the surviving brothers thoughts as he grows up. Our clubs founder, of course, now lives in Oz though I haven't heard whether it has affected his family yet?
