SUNDAY 11th SEPTEMBER.

MADEIRA DRIVE. BRIGHTON.

The Ace Cafe's Brighton Burn Up Run hits town once more on Sunday 11th September 2011.

For the past few years the Sussex Coasters have taken their Hostility Tent along to this event and the plan is to do so again this year.

As I write I'm still waiting for the final paperwork from the Ace Cafe which tells us where we'll be and give us our passes but I'm told it'll be sorted at the start of next week.

What we will need is a few volunteers to put the tent up early, which means being on the seafront about 07:30hrs ready to get stuck in, and we also some to be there late afternoon to pull down and pack it all away.
I do realise it's a busy busy weekend what with The Essex Poker Run and such but the Ace Run has proved very popular over the past few years and it'd be good to carry on the Coaster tradition of offering hospitality to our fellow H-DRCGB members and friends during the event.

I know some members have offered help but many hands make light work so speak up if you can spare a few hours and some energy

Here's to a bit of good weather.

Me and Tango wont be there as with a lot of coasters we will be at sue and pauls in France. Alan wont be there either as he also will be in France, although he doesn't seem to realise it. Poor old sod needs help with his memory not his erection.

I will be there with the Hostility Tent, but alone alas cos Kim is going go-carting.
I usually get there closer to 8am than 7.30am.
I have been assured that we will have sufficient tea and coffee etc but we may require assistance on the biscuit, beverage and hygeine front if anyone has a spare female :o.
preferably one who knows how many sugars I have in my tea .

I was chasing the organisers last week Pete, when I was told they were still working out who was going where.
The paperwork and passes arrived from the Ace Cafe this very day, giving us, as usual, not much time to get them to the people who need them :frown: We'll formulate a plan and get it underway asap.
What I guess may have to happen is that Tim has some passes to hand out to members with a more Westerly bent and Mike has the others to cover this end of the Region

Our allocation is stand number S35, which is a 30m wide X4.5m deep block between the Honda OC and SERV.

I agree Tim. A good day. I think a few of those folks we talked to will join up. Thanks Mike for the effort retraining us all in putting up the Hostility Tent. With that wind first thing ion the morning I thought we might have turned into a HDHGCGB (Harley Davidson Hang Glider Club of GB) :D
And Happy wedding anniversary to Kim and Mike and Happy birthday Kim too.
And no I am not going to set myself up in the bike polishing business.
Well OK but only if that nice lady from the stand across from us wants to help out with the polishing. One had to be there....

Looking at the weather this morning I think we were very lucky on Sunday to have the calm before the hurricane.
