This one will be coming up on Sunday 9th October this year.

http://www.brightona.net/

It's an event that has been very good over the past few years and one which more or less seems to mark the end of the years major events for us.
We'd like to try and make a good showing there again this year so if we can have a good number of volunteers we can get our plans underway - shout out if you can help with the setting up, manning and packing down of the Coasters' Hostility Tent.

There is a lot going on at the moment so maybe this event should be brought to the fore as it's only about 3 weeks away. The critical part is will we be attending with the Hostility Tent?
It should be noted that there are only three club meets before the 9th Oct, tonight at Shoreham, next Wed 28th at the new venue, the White Horse in Maplehurst, and the meet in Hastings on the 5th Oct. So not a lot of time to discuss this event.

Not quite Bob, Shoreham has now been replaced with the White Horse in Maplehurst and the first meet will be next Wednesday 28 th September. There are now only three meets per month (check regional meets section) allowing other activities as and when :)

Providing Mike can get the Hostility Tent there then myself and Sarah will be there to help erect.
A shout needs to go out for assistance again for erection detail :D again so all help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks both, I did know but forgot - forgetfullness is an affliction that attacks us oldies (not the only affliction I must add but this isn't the place to discuss those) and the only good thing about it is that you young buggers will probably suffer from it when you get a few years under your belt. :o

The "new tent" is really for the Triple Rally gate and is owned by the three regions ..... it's also bigger, being 6mx6m. I'm sure the trusty Hostility Tent will stand another outing

I'm afraid it's very shop soiled, tired and buggered (no not like that!) Although only one owner he didn't look after it and it's only good for the scrap heap. Leans slightly to the left and doesn't corner very well so normally leaves skid marks.

You're absolutely right Peps, the boys in blue only stopped Sue but I thought I'd do the gallant thing and stop to help her and got nicked myself - she'll have to fend for herself next time!

I only said why don't you get yourselves proper jobs rather than cruising around in Audi's at the tax payers expense, nicking law abiding people out for a Sunday ride - some people get so touchy
