| Re: 5000 miles service how much ££££££££££££ £40 if you do it yourself. It's easy peasy. Plus you learn a lot. Hard to screw up and gives you lots of satisfaction. all they do is change the oils and filters and check the pads, bearings etc......and charge you, what...£150? Nervous? Fair enough....Get someone in the club local to you to walk you through it....then with all the dosh you have saved, buy he/she a coupla beers and membership for yerself and you are STILL absolute quids in |

| Re: 5000 miles service how much ££££££££££££ £150 is very cheap ,unless the dealers I spoke to were taking the piss . Over £200 for a 5K service! I've decided to do it meself. I'm not the most mechanically minded person ,in fact I'm sh!t ,but I'm going to give it a go .Even after buying the tools I need and buying the required consumables I will be quids in ,even cheaper next time. There really appears to be nothing to be scared of, this is for the 2004 model. | Re: 5000 miles service how much ££££££££££££ That's how we do it. Good work Baza. Somerset, tell the world where you are and you might well get a similar offer. No one in their right mind would pay over £200 to change fluids and kick the tyres. It ain't much more than that. ESPECIALLY on a 1996 - that's *old* to the dealers, LOL. |
