Cool Battistinis

I was in a bike shop over Christchurch way to sort messef a new lid and while I was there, thought that I'll pop into Battistinis on the way back for some nuts N blolts for the Supertrapp.
Got a mug of coffee while the chap was looking stuff up on the pc and when he was coming up with the price, I asked him if there was any discount for the HD Riders?
Yeah sure, 10%! (Gotta produce a current membership card here tho!!)
We had a chat about the article in the new 'Quin and then I was given a tour of the place!
Mark Battistini said that he was planning on dropping by for the Eastleigh/ Poole area meetings at some point so that he could introduce himself to members.
Keep your eyes peeled for him coz he's got some SMASHING Harley bits and he needs to be well looked after!!!
The lovely Karen gave me about 20cd roms for parts/accessories to hand out at the next meeting that I go to.
My lil 883 may not be "however many k's" that they are used to dealing with, but it didn't seem to make any difference at all to them!!

Cool Re: Battistinis

I was on the fone to them today and Karen asked me wot year my Sportster was.
"'89" says I.
"Oh that's a pity coz we've got a set of pipes for an '05 Sproty going at a very reasonable price!"
So, if there's anyone wiv an '05 Sporty, an they fancy/need some pipes for her, then mine's a pint!!!

Re: Battistinis

I have known Mark Battistini for a good many years and he is an all round great guy. I would always recommend dropping in there if you are in the area. Even if you don't like their bikes, you get good ideas and Mark will always bend over backwards to help. It is great to see someone who actually has enthusiasm for what they do.

Cool Re: Battistinis

Hi Andy,
My brother went to school with Dean and has therefore known the Battistinis for quite a while.
He also went on to work for them shortly after Dean's untimely death, bless him!
I cannot agree more with what you sat about somebody having enthusiasm for what they do!
Cheers,
gsdude
