Service?What do I need to buy?

Oil
Oil Filter
Sport Trans Fluid
Spark Plugs

I dont have the service manual yet ,but watching the DVD I assume I dont need to buy gaskets or O-rings, they can all be re-used (the bike has only had the free service so I guess they should all be in good condition). Just want to go buy all the bits tomorrow

Re: Service?What do I need to buy?

You should not need any gaskets, the clutch cover is a rubber quad ring (a square section O ring) and the primary chain inspection cover is a rubber gasket, neither of which require the draining of the oil to replace if needed after!

UK dealer Price

25463-94A Quad ring Clutch Cover £1.40
34986-04 Gasket inspection cover £2.38

I don't know how many miles you will do but recommend you use synthetic oil in the primary/gear box as another advantage of doing so is to extend the oil change intervals from 5K to 10K so could save in the long run. You only need one bottle, but don't pour it all in as you will over fill, it only takes 946ml and the bottle contents is 1 ltr.

Oil Filter

Standard fitment
63805-80A Black £5-82
63796-77A Chrome £7-75

But you can fit the New 5 Micron filter, but there is a price for the fashion victim who wants Chrome.

Superpremium5

63731-99A Black £9-25
63798-99A Chrome £14.42

Spark Plugs

Standard HD-6R12
32362-04 £2-74 {each}

Platinum 6R12PP
32364-04 £7-95

S/E Split Fire EX12S
32320-91 £13-44 {pair}

That's about it.... oh and some PTFE tape & a 2lt bottle of Coke! ;)
