Question Shock Eyelet Covers

Hey, does anyone know if the shock eyelet covers in this kit fit on Progressive (412 or 440) shocks?

#54337-05: Chrome Billet Shock Hardware Kit (fits '04-later XL models).

Re: Shock Eyelet Covers

Maybe you could try asking the people at M R Holland who sell Progressive shocks if they could give you the size of the eyelet and then compare it to a standard shock at the dealers...?
Their number is 01775 766455. There used to be a bloke there called Peter who looked after the bike products who was very helpful.

Re: Shock Eyelet Covers

Thanks Lynne, but I'm afraid that's not going to help. I know the size of the Progressive and stock eyelets, and I know that the Progressives are slightly bigger in diameter, but what I don't know is the inside diameter of the covers in that kit.

Thanks anyway.

Smile Re: Shock Eyelet Covers

In case anyone's interested in this, I can now report back. Yes, these shock eyelet covers:
#54337-05

do fit over the eyelets on Progressive 412 shocks. The top covers are absolutely fine; the bottom ones, it depends on which way you have the offset eyelet set. If you've got the offset eyelet set towards the inside, you may need a couple of washers between the eyelet and the cover. If you've got them set towards the outside, no problem.

I haven't tried them on 440s yet, but there shouldn't be a problem; the eyelets are pretty much the same, apart from the fact that the bottom eyelet isn't offset.
