Is there an easier way to....

My Starboard side ( right) footpeg holding stud has come loose and rotates with vibration,
causing my peg to flip down.
the holding nut at the rear seems very inaccessible.
is there an easy way of doing this up Will I be able to get a bent spanner behind it, and if so what size is the nut.
It seems a lot of agg to remove the whole rear brake assembly and then the sprocket cover , half a dozen allen bolts just to do up one nut.
does anyone know of an easier method, or am I just being lazy.
any thoughts greatly appreciated.
Spice

Yup

It does'nt take long to loosen the rear exhaust, master cylinder ect. I have removed mine for forward controls but i do remeber that it was an easy job, though i do remember that that particular bolt was an absolute swine to undo. Must have been done up by a gorilla.

You never know what you will catch buy try to jam a spanner in the back. The little neutral light switch is located back there some wheres.

For you my Viking friend, I would fly over & fix it myself (but I`m a little busy this week )
Sad to say there is no easy way, the sprocket cover has to come off, as the previous post says though it is not difficult.
If you have any issues feel free to pm or phone me, I`ll talk you through it.

Shouldn't worry Phil,i'm betting they're all down the pub by 11,just after they've had a cuppa, scratched their heads for a while, they then uttered those immortal words!

Re: Is there an easier way to....

Thank you all for your kind offers of help and advice Gents
especially Phil bit of a way to travel though eh mate
especially in your lunch hour.
but I think Chillis advice sounds the best
I think Ill leave it for now and go down the pub Instead
Finishing work at about Midday today
so may go and get Mooshed
do the bike another day when its a bit warmer
as For allowing Bazza and Sal anywhere near my baby with
anything other than a polishing cloth.
You must be kin Joking
I know bazza likes to post technical tips in the Quin
but he only nicks em from other websites

and as for postman Pat with tools..............
Kin forget it.........

I ll bring it into work next week and get it up in the air using the steam turbine hall crane, and work on it in the warm,
and also where if the need arises I have Engineers available that can
F*ck with it.
cheers for the advice
when I do it I may take some piccies and even attempt to post em on here.
God willing and with a lot of luck.
