Diesel.

I know not exactly a Harley, but I would be real greatful if anyone has any ideas re the Mrs's Fiat Multipla. The engine makes like a tick, it sounds as if it has a leaf or summit blowing in the vent. This only occurs when under load, and goes after 3000RPM. It is a turbo diesel.

Two Fiat garages and 2 others and no joy? Anybody any ideas, hugely frustrating, and the Mrs is gutted. The engine is very smooth and no noises under when staionary just reving. The engine feels fine under load, just this noise..

Thanks.

Re: Diesal.

Sounds a bit like an hydraulic valve lifter sticking, that gives you tick!

But I'm not familiar with that engine. Do you change the oil regularly,I had a fiat that developed a tick and was advised to change the oil and rev it's t1ts off for a bit to clean the lifter and it stopped the ticking!
