Tinted Screen

Met webmaster Roger the other week on a rideout and was impressed by the tinted screen on his new Road King. Any one seen anything similar for the V-Rod ie. same as the clear screens but in a nice blue tint?

And while we're at it, which of the three sizes of screen works the best at keeping the wind off?

Re: Tinted Screen

I now have a tinted WindVest screen for my V-Rod, but the tint is tan, not blue. Raven has a clear WindVest screen on her Sportster.

Of course, you look over the windscreen, not through it, so the tinting may not be really important.

However, the WindVest screen looks good, which is more than can be said for the H-D products (IMO).

Re: Tinted Screen

Bear,
The tan tint on your screen will match your bike, but my 'Rod is silver and I think I'd only bother with a screen for longer journeys if it was tinted blue. Needs to be removeable as well.

That's what I said, too............until I put the WindVest on. Looks so good, I don't want to take it off! Clear WindVest might be just the thing for you, though. Take a look on the WindVest website. Check out the close-up front view of a V-Rod (it's silver).

Re: Tinted Screen

Just found a blue/black tinted screen by Italian makers F. Fabbri Accessori down my local Italian bike dealer. Just the ticket at £49.95. Sorry I can't post any photos, and I've yet to get any speed up on a rideout, but our NW region have a camping weekend on the 28th - 30th July so no doubt it'll get a razzing then. If it deflects the wind under my helmet or somewhere else I wouldn't appreciate it looks like it is fully adjustable so should soon have it sorted. Oh, and did I say, it looks the bizzniss.

Re: Tinted Screen

Prefer the looks without the screen, so haven't had it on since touring in the summer. The screen I had wasn't more than about 15 inches tall and only served to deflect wind up my visor coz I couldn't be bothered to get the allen keys back out once everything was tightened up.
Think I'd try a bigger screen if I was mile munchin', but don't need it if I'm honest.
