Hi All

Hi All,

just thought I'd add a short post to say hello as a new forum member.

I'm based in the Southampton area, though from Basingstoke originally and I've been riding for about 22 years. I've had a few bikes over the years, mainly jap stuff but I've recently picked up a Street Bob, my first Harley and I'm currently trying to run it in. Typicly of course, it started raining the day I picked it up and hasn't stopped since so It's not looking as shiny as it was when I got it.

Still never mind, I love the bike and it's a real pleasure to ride it, whatever the weather. I must however remember to not wear my dark goggles on the motorway when it's pissing down

I have a few changes I want to make to the bike, nothing too much to begin with just a few subtle alterations so if there are any faq's on aftermarket shiny bits etc I'd be interested in reading them.

Cheers
Rob

Use the search engine at the top of the page to search for links. This one covers all the usual non-U.K dealer sources of parts.

http://www.harley-davidson-hangout.c...uernsey+states

I've used Guernsey for small parts, where it's not worth the hassle and freight rates from the States. Mate recently bought sissy bar, dual seat, screen and various other bits from Discount Biker in Florida. No problems, and a 'realistic' valuation for customs and import duty...

Re: Hi All

Hi HDWURZEL,

I was from a small village called North Waltham originally (It's a bit bigger now mind). It's about 5 miles south of Basingstoke towards Winchester.

I may know a few of the olduns but I lost touch with people when I moved sarf in '89.

Strangely enough I used to live in Basingstoke and work in Southampton which is one of the reasons I moved down that way. Now I'm living in Southampton and I've just got a job working in Basingstoke

So I'm up this way evey week. More than happy to meet up for a beer some time

Cheers,
Rob.
