Hi everybody!
This is my first post here.

I'm considering buyind an used Harley and bring it down to Portugal.
If posible riding the damn thing.
My only problem is the insurance.
How can I insure a bike in order to bring it to Portugal and legalize it here?
By the way, how much is the ferry to France and Spain?
I'm considering the cost, but until now and for what I've saw in the auto trader site, buying an used Harley is a good deal, considering the high prices in Portugal and even Spain.
Changing plates costs around 500€ and all the dealers I've contacted told me they'll help me with the papers.

Hi Road King and welcome. I can't answer most of your questions but we have just visited Monte Gordo in the Algarve and we caught the ferry from Portsmouth to Bilbao. You have to book a cabin as the return journey is three nights in total. The rice we paid was £330.00

Any way, I would fly to the UK and return on the bike back to Lisbon.
But to do that I need an insurance if not I must pay for the transport
