Homepage Hijack

Anybody got any ideas how to get rid of a homepage hijack ?

I have run Norton Antivirus, Windows Defender, Spybot search and Destroy and Lavasoft Ad-Ware but still cant get rid of it.

Any suggestions most welcome.

Go to internet options and click reset web settings. I always open on blank as I do not want to wait for a homepage to load.

Download Hijackthis ,run it . Follow the tutorial .

Disclaimer* Although I have used this program in the past and had no problems , you take responsibilty.Dont go deleting everything or it may be reinstall time.

Go to START>>>> CONTROL PANEL>>> click on Name:  inter.jpg
Views: 100
Size:  2.9 KB

then you will see this: Name:  int op.jpg
Views: 100
Size:  53.8 KB

delete cookies >> delete files and clear history.

take out the highjack address in the top where mine says http://www.hdrcgb.org.uk/etc etc.....

and put in the address you want the Int Explorer to open up in.
Click ok.

Thanks for the replies guys.

The 2 simple fixes did not work, whatever homepage i changed it to, it simply changed it back when i entered internet explorer.

Sal, yours looked scarey so i was taking the time to read it through
but as a last resort i downloaded ewido anti spyware which i got from the
stick thread ' free security products '.

Full system scan and it found it and deleted it.

Taken me all bloody day

Best to download and run this in the background, once you enable protection it runs in the background without you doing anything.
Keep it manually updated once a week or so, tis free.
