Hello and mebbe help?
Hello everybody....new member here. Just thought I'd introduce meself....

51 years old...had plenty of bikes...still got plenty of bikes...currently riding a Honda CB 500 to work and back...and a Titanium coloured Blackbird for "serious" riding.

I have a couple of projects on the go....a Triumph T'Bird (1958), and a Honda VF1000 (1984)......

However, I have just become the proud owner of a Harley 1000 Sportster 1977.....except it's been dismantled. It belonged to a work colleague who tragically lost his life in a road accident recently. I feel it is my duty to put her back together again, as my workmate would have had her.

It seems a pretty straightforward assembly .My workmate used to pull it apart nearly every winter...keep in the living room and then reassemble for the Spring. Frame just been stoved and swingarm fitted. Barrels likewise but need fitting and so on.

I'm in South Yorkshire and so was wondering if there is anybody close by who I can get advice off? I also need to have a look at one of these in the flesh.

Talk to Heide at THS in Castleford to start with, very knowledgable on these.

Plenty of knowledge here. Best bet is to join the Club and get access to the experts
