Winter Project

My winter project is nowhere as ambitious as the other two but we all have to start somewhere. I'm fitting a Quick Bob tank but I'm going to try spraying the bike myself. I've not done this type of job for at least 30 years so if it fails then it'll be a panic trip to the local spray shop. Any tips from people that have successfully done it will be apprieciated. I'm sticking with one colour because I like plain and simple looks. I'll post piccies if it works.

Re: Winter Project

Alan,

I'm no good at posting links but if you go to chopperbuilder.co.uk then there are loads of tips from guys building chops. If you look in the section on paint/leather work there is a detailed explanation on spraying with photos to help from a guy who seems to know his stuff. Won't post about my effort on here as its jap may get stoned but we all gotta start somewhere.

Hope that helps
Goodluck

Re: Winter Project

Thanks for the encouragement. I'm posting progress on my site http://www.alanbexton.co.uk/pageview...oject&cust=615 here. So far there is just the tank in early stages but there will be more.

Re: Winter Project

Al,

Go for it dude. if you run into a problem you know where we are, just ask.

It's your bike, if you're chuffed with it, thats all that matters.

Drop us some piccys as the project progresses, you never know how much help it could be to others.
