So put the Coasters' "Spring into 2010 Party" in your diaries for Saturday 20th March 2010.

Venue is Langney Club in Eastbourne, which will give us plenty of space and will be pretty close for B&B's etc. We have plans for music of various sorts, food and the bar will supply well priced drinks.

Full details are to follow asap so keep your eye's and ear's open :)

Continuing with Ace Cafe London's successful Harley Nights "Bike of the Night" competition, with this year's grand final to choose "Bike of the Year" taking place on Thursday 29th October, we are pleased to announce that we have teamed up with www.farorun.com who have generously offered a prize of free entry to attend the July 2010 Faro Festival in Portugal.

Starting from Thursday 24th September 2009, and running through to Thursday 24th June 2010, each "Bike of the Night" winner will win a ticket for entry to the festival and will be invited back to attend the grand final in June to compete for the grand prize of a full camping package."

Well today I am taking a friend on my Harley. He is Dan and he is 31 years old. He was told 21 days ago that he has bowel cancer that is spreading through his body. The cancer may kill him in about 42 days if the treatment he is about to embark on doesn't work. Dan loves to ride his bike but he can not ride his 125 on L plates anymore because he is just too weak so I am taking him on my bike to a few of his favourite places, Goodwood and Micks Monster Burger Van at Portasdown Hill, Portsmouth. At least 50 bikes from our BHB forum are riding with us today and I would like to ask any one from the Coasters if they want to join in on a simple 2 hour ride. If you want to then the ride starts at 14:00hrs from Bury Hill Whiteways Cafe carpark. Obviously Food Is In Order at the Burger Van (and the monster is a big one I assure you). The ride will end up in Rustington where tea will be provided by friends and family.
The sun is shining for the ride and we have hope that the chemicals will work for Dan.
If you have no ride planned today or are in the area and want to join in, please do so, you are all welcome.

Bad news I'm afraid, Tina is no longer there doing the food. So it looks like the Hastings venue may be out for us from now on. This will also effect the May Day Ace Cafe Run, so we'll have to sort out what we'll do for that at some time.

Tina is still providing grub and can be found at Frenz in Robertson Street, Hastings - near Debenhams I believe. I'll have to pop in and see what the parking will be like as I'm quite partial to one of her Full-English brekkies.

Hi All I have been thinking about next years riding season (Yes Already)
And after a short chat last night at the Shoreham meet. I thought I would gauge the interest.

I’m thinking of putting together a Grand World tour of Scotland to encompass the following.

A weeks camping/touring prior to and including the Wallace rally at Stirling.

Depart Sussex a.m. Saturday 22nd May 2010

Saturday Night. Free Camping at the Tanhill Inn. (Accommodation available)
Sunday. On into Scotland and the Isle of Bute. Free camping lots of B&Bs Possibly a party BBQ with Islanders mcc 3 of whom are HDRCGB Members.. TBC.
Monday. Free day to explore the island.
Tuesday. move on upto Fort Augustus in the great glen passing The Rest and be Thankful, Loch Lomond, Glencoe Ben Nevis and Fort William. Camping £6 pppn but accommodation available @ £15/£20 pppn
Wednesday. Free day to explore the Great glen, Loch Ness and even the Isle of Skye.
Thursday. Head south past Aviemore and down the A9 to Stirling for the Wallace Rally. PM Your email address for Booking form. £20 per club member
Friday & Saturday. At the Rally with the opportunity to explore the many points of interest in the area with even Edinburgh within striking distance.

Sunday / Monday. Your choice. The home run last year I left Stirling at 1000 in the morning and was Back in Horsham before 8 in the evening.

So what I’m asking is are there any HDRCGB members interested in the ultimate Scotland tour taking in the Lowlands, Islands and Highlands. The chance to see some of the most spectacular scenery in the world and see some of the out of the way places that tourists don’t get to.
