Thinking of purchasing a new Dyna super glide custom and need a little guidance/advice please. I like the look of the stock pipes but want the Harley sound and was thinking of slip-ons to keep the cost down. Only really know of V&H and Rush slip-ons. My questions are:-
If I was happy with standard performance and just wanted the Harley sound, (But not over the top) which slip-ons would be best suited and would anything else have to be done to fine tune?
Alternatively if I wanted stage 1 tuning to enhance performance with the same slip-ons what else would be required?
Sorry if I sound a bit naive:o and I know if I search the forums long enough I will find the answers but I am new to Harley’s and just want some honest quick advice so I can stand my corner with the main dealer at the weekend.

Sportster stolen and recovered: What to check

Hello everyone!

I had the misfortune of having my 2009 883C Sportster stolen last week, however I was extremely lucky that the police found the motorcycle the very next day and took it to a car pound to forensically examine it. Ironicaly they found it with the Abus U Lock still attached to the front wheel!

I picked up the Sportster 2 days ago, and from what I can tell, the damage is limited to a broken steering lock (the police actually handed me the steering lock), an indicator reflector missing and the number plate torn up. I won't be able to assess the full extent of the damage until I clean it (tonight) and look for scratches etc.

I was wondering if I could get any advice on what I would check on the motorcycle before taking it on the road again? I rode it from the police pound to my home and it seemed to ride fine, but now that the weekend is approacing I do want to give it a thorough check up to make sure it is safe. Would you guys even recommend a full service? It's done its first service about a month ago.

Tonight I'm installing a Hardie ground anchor and securing the Sportster with an Almax chain.

Thank you for any advice you guys can give me!

New to this site so lets see what info i can get from 'Harleyland'.
Just bought a Fatboy softail, presently parked at my bros house in usa. Two of the stipulations that the dvla have requested on importing it are 1. A certificate of origin. 2. A dating certificate.
Does anybody know where i may aquire either or both of these certs? The DVLA havent been very helpful in directing me to somewhere i can get them and nor have(surprisingly) HDUK or HDUSA. any help would be much appreciated.

Hi everyone, wondered what you think on these products, used acf50 last winter worked wel,l bike was mainly stored, ridden on the odd sunny day
,only thing i didnt like was it was hard to apply when sprayed on just came out in a blob real messy,so had to wipe it over most areas and then its impossible to get to some, like cam covers under fuell tank. This year am trying s100 corrosion protector sprayed on really easily fine mist , dried like a waxy like finnish, my dealer reckons there both good products s100 also seems easier to remove with the s100 cleaner
remember last year the acf was a pain to remove again.
