You solved this one yet Bluey? Do you mean VIN not VNM, Ebay will automatically fill out the vehicle details once you enter in the plate number. Just checked, its VRM vehicle registration mark.
Works for 1981 onwards on cars not sure about bikes. But in any case you should be able to enter all the details manually. Just checked, you not have to enter the VRM, just click on skip this step. If you get stuck go to the Ebay community and post your question, you will normally get a good response.
