I've set up a few CV40's with great results as follows .. First thing, fit a Sportster needle which is part no 27094-88. You should be fine with a 195 main using the 37's, maybe a bit too rich on the pilot though. The stock 45 will be ok or maybe a 46. I'm assuming you've taken out the little plug under the carb which covers the idle mixture screw? Wind the screw in until it bottoms lightly then back it out about 2 1/2 turns then when the motor's warm you can adjust your idle speed. These settings should get you crisp throttle response & good mileage. I've never used any of the kits available so can't say how to use them ..
