It's an American company, so that means the kit has to be imported from the states. The thing you have to bear in mind, is that the cost can escalate once you start to add on import duty, UK vat, and carriage handling when it gets over hear. And in the price range of $1500 you could probably double that by the time it's delivered to your door.
I reckon there must be a an EU supplier who can produce the same thing which would considerably reduce the cost.
I import all my bits from the states... so I work on the basis of 8% duty - 15%VAT and roughly £15.00 customs clearance.

When I imported my front wheel the freight was $80.00. What you have to realise is that UK dealers (not only HD) do a straight conversion.

So if its $1400.00 it will be £1400.00 stg

Just do a comparison with UK HD dealers and USA... you will be shocked.

I have just purchased (Thanks to Rod for slagging off my numberplate) a laydown number plate kit with built in indicator relocator kit for $79.00
(£53.00) and I will get on Monday guaranteed delivery, if I had purchased from the UK it would had been not in stock, pay up front, given a delivery time of approx 2 weeks (comes from Germany) and then have to collect..

If there was realistic pricing in the UK I would buy here... But there aint...
