A MOTORCYCLE rider died today on the slip road of the M3 near Thorpe.
At just after 11am a black Harley Davidson motorcycle travelling from the M25 anti-clockwise carriageway to the M3 southbound left the road and collided with the central reservation.
The rider, a woman in her late 40s, was thrown from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries at the scene.
The southbound lanes of the M3 were closed until just after 2pm while police from Surrey Police's collision investigation unit investigated the scene.
The Wraysbury to Basingstoke slip road was due to re-open later that same day.
Anyone who witnessed the crash should call the Surrey Police 01483 639922.
