 Oil Change Confusion?
My year old XL has just passed 2500 miles.......time for my first DIY Harley oil change...........looked in my handbook regarding this issue and am totally confused with the latter part of the printed info........the first bit Draining Oil Tank : loosen jubilee clip pull off hose/plug.....I understand that bit............the second bit...Removal of Oil Filter: no problem...I get that bit too..........but the third bit of info has me baffled.........Refilling Oil Tank: DETACH FRAME CLIP FROM FRAME TUBE Loosen clip and remove hose from frame clip etc etc.........frame clip??? Please explain! Does this mean that I have to pull off the drain tube AGAIN? And release a bit of oil (with air) then connect it back again? Any one out there with a recent Sporty who knows the drill........put me outa my misery! Cheers!
