When it comes to refitting the wheel and you have the advantage of a bike lift then with the wheel sitting on the floor raise or lower the bike so the spindle slides through easily. its far easier this way rather than hold the wheel in the air(heavy) and line up spindle at the same time. The lift also allows you to lift the bike high enough so the wheel rolls in and out from under the guard
