The cons are that it will cost you to do it and probably reduce the value of your bike, especially a recent one. In the event of a failure of the ignition/injection system once out of warranty, a possible pro is reduced cost of restoring the bike to a usable condition. Unless you intend tuning the bike to a radical degree, the current electronics are likely to cope with everything you want of it, with suitable tweaks.

If you actually have an 09 bike, it is under warranty at present. So presumably you are asking out of curiosity, for a later date? The fact that something can be done does not mean it is necessary or desirable! Give us some clues of what is behind your question.
