Meeting at the McDonalds on Silverlink, 11 bikes turned up, with a member from the Lake District and a special mention for Tony Cross who rode 150 miles from Manchester, just to get to the meeting point, top bloke.
Head out to fuel up and then off through Morpeth and our first stop at Rothbury for a cuppa and tab break.
On the road again and towards netherton and lunch stop at the "Rose & Thistle" pub at Alwinton, where most people had a sunday roast and pint.
Leaving Alwinton, the last bit of civilization for quite a few miles, we head
off into upper Coqetdale, winding through the Cheviots not far from the Scottish border and onto the Otterburn millitary firing ranges.
Doging low flying sheep and stray bullets ( Sheep Turds to me and you )
At the top of Otterburn Range and looking out over Northumberland
We followed the Millitary roads to the Jedburgh road, where most people turned off towards the A68 and back to Darlington, the lake district and Manchester !
Thank you to everyone that came out on the ride, much enjoyment had by all and nice bit of scenery as well.
It was nice to see my old mates Deltic Mick and Peter and Pam, good to be riding with them again.
