Nice lady at HD siad they will keep my case open. Looked at the inner race and it is marked but cannot feel any damage, and there is no play on the main shaft. Packed up all the parts in a large box all marked up separately for collection on Wednesday.
Just have to be patient now. I don't know about you guys but anything wrong with my bike and I plunge into the depths of depression, although I am a miserable twat at the best of times. But it makes you think how shallow one can be about material possessions, when there are others so much worse off
