No, don't use compressed air to dry filter, I use it to blow out excess water, taking care not to distort filter.
Always blow inside to outside as dirt will be on outside of filter.
As K&N rightly state "use of compressed air, heat guns etc" could damage filter. Please note instructions are written for dim wits with no common sense.
If uncomfortable with that, take filter outside and swing round to fling off excess, then leave to dry naturally (not on radiator etc).
Then re-apply K&N filter oil.
