FH-DCE Super rally 2008 Denmark

Dear all
Met up with Nick last Sunday, got wet. Thats Wills fault he said it would rain.
We talked about going to the FH-DCE Super rally in Denmark, Madsby Park, Fredericia. 8th till 12th May 2008. Go to there web site for more details. ( info@fhdce.eu). 60 euros per person.

Tried to get info for ferries. Harwich to Esbjerg sailing 7th returning 13th. If I filled the form in right it worked out to £520 for two bikes and a double cabin.
You have to have the cabin as its an over night crossing. I have to see if I can get the time off first ?
Anyone else intrested or has better info please pass it on. I have been told this ferry will be fully booked soon, then you will have to cross further away from the rally. Also discounts for groups of ten or more.

Many Thanks ChrisFXDX

Dear Gary
After all that I am going to give it a miss. I would need to take over a week off. I know some are going from the Anglia area, some from the east coast harley club. I hope they will read this and try and be in touch with you.

All the best Chris FXDX

I joined the club over the winter, but haven't had the chance to meet any of you as yet. I'm heading to the Super Rally leaving Harwich for the Hook on the 7th. Anyone else going that route? Will the Riders Club have a meeting point/camping area, and, if so, where will it be?

Re: FH-DCE Super rally 2008 Denmark

Gary
I just got back from the Super Rally. 1200 mile round trip, not a spot of rain, a good party - but some dubious bands, a night's stop over in Germany each way, and popped into the Arnhem Airborne museum (A Bridge Too Far) on the way home. The only problem I had was a snapped webbing strap on my throwovers on day 2 that resulted in a pannier bouncing along the deck for a cuople of hundred yards, which coud have been nasty if anything had got caught up in the drive belt, but I guess not only the sun was shing on me that day.
Excellent trip all round - what more could you ask for
