Re: East Meets West Ride Out

Baff

Is Lowestoft the final destination? If so, where will you guys be? If I leave St. Neots at 12, I won't get to Lowestoft until 2.30 - 3.00. Is there much point bothering, or should I try and catch you on the return journey?

Carl.

Re: East Meets West Ride Out

Hi Carl

I only know as far as meeting at the services. I'll PM you foby's phone number, and if you give him a call around 9ish, I'm sure he'll be able to tell you.

I'm not sure how long we're going to be up in darkest Norfolk, nor exactly what we'll be doing, but Foby and/or Nick should.

Check your PMs in a few minutes for his no.

Re: East Meets West Ride Out

we are going to a bike shop come café on London Rd and expect to get there by 1.30 pm. I know some of the riders from the East have to leave 2-3 Pm to go to work and I expect most from the west to start heading back 3-3.30 pm so I think i would leave it. But if you really want to come and ride back with them let Foby or me know you are coming and we will make sure we are there when you arrive.

Re: East Meets West Ride Out

Thanks Nick, Foby and all who went for making this a really good day out. The weather couldn't have been better. I clocked 192 miles today, and was home at 6'oclock.
Thanks again.

Brian.

Re: East Meets West Ride Out

19 bikes, 17 of them Harleys. I'd call that a pretty good turn out, helping to make a good day for us all (I hope everyone agrees).

Nick, great route, and the ferry was a nice touch, and I hadn't realised some of Norfolk's roads could be a small as Suffolk's. Keeping everyone together seemed to make it a proper regional run too. I hope other runs I go along to go as well as this one did. You get a couple of dozen house points and a large bag of peanuts for organising it.

As you said, it's a big region, so to get people from all areas of it together for a day was an achievement in itself. The sun shining was an added blessing, of course.

It was nice to meet a lot of new faces, and to put faces to names I'd only seen on the forum.

I look forward to seeing some/all of you again, perhaps with a break along the way in or outside a pub. A pub right by a petrol station kills two birds with one stone, as both Monster & I like to imbibe regularly.

Re: East Meets West Ride Out

What a fantastic Ride Out
Thanks to everyone that came along - 19 members bikes plus some partners made this one of the most enjoyable days of me being your Rep. After we left Lowestoft we went home via Diss and Thetford led by Will and found a nice little pub by the Little Ouse to finish the day off nicely
A very big THANK YOU to Assistant Rep.Nick for putting the Ride Out together and to Sports Mike for the You Tube video (make sure you see it!!!!!) If you want any of my piccies email me and I will forward them on

Re: East Meets West Ride Out

Thanks to all from the West who put in some serious mileage to make yesterday such a success.
It would have been a good day even in poor weather, but with the sun shinning as it did it was a brilliant day(although I was very relived when all 19 bikes had finished the middle single track)
I had asked Foby and Tealess to arrange a meeting over this side of the county to kick start regular meetings (Baff and Steve are keen to sort this out) and some of the HOG riders who came to check us out asked for membership forms
Foby and Tealess continue to transform region 15

All in all a truly memorable day for all the right reasons
