Bike Show at Soham By-Pass on 25th

Colin, are you talking about Saturday, the way I understand it is that the show is on Sunday, and the camping is available for Sunday night. The show goes on until midnight on Sunday. I'm not sure if there will be anything going on there on Saturday. You can always ring the Cherrytree first to find out. I wouldn't want you to be the only one there on Saturday.

On Monday, Soham have got their annual carnival going on as well, and that looks like a big event.

Anyway I will be going to Black Bear for 12noon Saturday so could ride to new dealership at Norwich if anyone knows the way

Well, despite the rain, it was still a good turnout. A good selection of assorted bikes and trikes there. I saw a few faces I recognised. The rain stayed until about 2.30, then it brightened up, and then more people and more bikes started coming in. I was soaked to the skin and started to feel a bit pissed off and was wishing I was still at home. My mind changed though when I won 'Best Cruiser', and collected my trophy.
Everyone I spoke to was very friendly, and I'm glad I went. I pushed the club to a few people that had Harleys that didn't know we existed, and gave out a few cards I printed out because my Rep was absent ....we'll have to see if anything comes of it.

I'll post some photos I took of the bikes tomorrow when I get my camera sorted out.....I can't find the computer lead.

I don't blame you all for not turning up...it was a miserable day weatherwise, but I'm glad I went.

Well done Brian for winning again (yet another trophy mate) I got the day for the show round my neck thinking it was Saturday (great rideout in the sun though, ha ha) and could not go Sunday (family commitments).
Thanks for taking over the role of Rep. in the making and promoting the club - I know now who to hand over to at the next AGM

This Rocket 3 won best Custom and best in show. £7,000 paint job...the owner said it stood him in at £45,000 so far...who am I to argue...he was 6' 4" tall.



This won Best Cruiser....mine. Next to my RK was a Hesketh 1000. That was the ugliest bike I've ever seen. Appologies to anyone who has one.



This won best Rat bike...just look at that seat.



This won best trike...there was a few which were a lot smarter than this, but this was a novelty build. Based on a Reliant floorpan and covered in rubber rats and spiders. I would love to own it.




There were other winners in other categories, but I didn't get any pics...they just didn't interest me somehow.
