Re: Hamish down

ouch!

I saw your email Foby, just waiting for the missus to get home and see what's happening Saturday. If I can't go with you then, please wish him all the best and I'll get over there another day. No special journeys my arse!

Anyone know the visiting hours on weekdays and weekends?

'Lo

The ward told me visiting hours are open, but I'd guess pre 10am and after 8pm might make you a tad unpopular.

Re: Hamish down

Hi Hamish
Keep the clicker going mate. Spent six months in Addingbrooks three years ago when we lost Sam my daughter. Know the place to well I'm, sorry to say. I managed to get a phone line for Sam so she could use the net.
When you can get down to the foyer you can get onto the computers. I used to have a running battle with some twat who used to buy stamps with trains on from ebay. If you did not get there before him you would have no chance.
Well you do know your Chrisey presents are going to be from the body shop or the Australian pie company. Nothing else worth bothering with. If visitors want a drink or food go to the WRVS at the other end it seemed cheaper and better.
I used to pop to a pub called the Edeth Carvelle ( spelt wrong ).
Good chippie opposit it. If anyone goes in the pub ask for Pete the Knife. I think he likes the nick name, he is a butcher , nothing more sinister.Speedy recovery lets us know if I can be of any help.

There's a brand new food mall there now, nice and cheap and anything you want. The pub is the 'Queen Edith' and it's the nearest one to the hospital. It's got a new bloke running it now...bit like a youth club though. They tell me you can get anything you want in there. The chippy opposite is still there, but closes early...before the pub kicks out. DO NOT leave a Harley Davidson in the pub car park....it's a long walk home.

I'm going to see Hamish one evening next week, if anyone wants to meet me, I'll take you in. Cambridge is a strange place to find your way around if you don't know it...let alone Addenbrookes Hospital. You'll probably be there all night trying to find him.

Brian.
