Hunstanton Festival

We all had a great time last year at a hotel called the 'Wash and Tope' on the Saturday night. That was after we had tried to get some decent fish and chips in Hunstanton. It appears that there isn't any decent fish and chips in that town.
My mates son owns that hotel, and I mentioned that we will be back this year to drink him dry again...he said he took some serious money from us last year, and if we go back again, he'll put on a band again, and get us some proper fish and chips in.
Are we going back there this year, who's up for the grub. He would like to know approximate numbers if possible. It was mentioned by El Presedenty at the last meeting that we were possibly going to invade again. I can arrange whatever with my mates son if everyone agrees.

Brian.

It's on August 22nd -23rd Saturday - Sunday - Hunstanton Kite & Classic Car Festival. Saturday campover for Sunday show.

As Brian said in the OP, the landlord of the Wash & Tope pub we had such a good time in last year is putting on a band again for us on the Saturday night, and will lay on a fish 'n chip supper if we give him an idea of numbers.

It was the highlight of the Anglian calendar last year - it just all happened to hang together perfectly. Good craic, good pub, good music, good weather, good company, good show. It wasn't a them and us situation either. Everywhere you looked, you saw a riders club member chatting, drinking & smoking with locals. We even had people coming up to us on the stand on Sunday saying how much they'd enjoyed it.

Some will no doubt ride up together from Peterborough, Cambridge and Lowestoft. Others will just make their own way there, probably meeting up late afternoon at the show site. Your guys will be more than welcome as the organisers would love to see even more of the club members and their bikes on the stand.

Re: Hunstanton Festival

I think we had 28 bikes diplayed at the Festival last year The evening jaunt at the Wash and Tope was a great larf We auctioned Bob the Gob to the local tottyI think we took over the pub lounge
Alf from Lincs was in the smoke room as acting Santa having all the girls sit on his knee to tell him what they wanted in their Xmas stockings
And the band was pretty good as well
Mr B if we can have some decent grub as well...........

Irene and me will be once again taking the Transitglide sport so that you get some teas and brecky (if you bring - we will cook it)

So Mr Baza if you can get your peeps away from the smog to the clean crisp air of North Norfolk your more than welcome. We will even teach your lot how to speak proper Nawfak Engleesh
