Nick DJ Acting Anglia 15 rep

Tealess and Nick met at the Tripple Plea pub on Thursday 24th september 2009 before the meeting began and discussed between them selves the best way that the two assistant reps of Anglia region 15 could now move forward in the absence of the Anglia 15 rep (Foby)

Tealess and Nick both agreed that Nick DJ would be the acting rep of the Anglia region untill the AGM in March Due to be held at the Plough 2010, at this time position is then open to ALL members who may wish to stand for the position of REP or Assistant REP, to propose themselves and be voted in by the members of the region.

Nick will be standing for the position of REP at the AGM and Tealess will be standing for the position as ASSISTANT REP, however it has been discussed that we could do with more assistant reps to help run the region.

I would ask that all members give Nick their support in the position of Acting rep as I think that Nick will do a good job of Acting rep as Foby did in the Position of Rep.

Thanks for your on going support and look forward to seeing you at the Plough and the Tripple Plea

Assistant Rep Tealess.

Re: Nick DJ Acting Anglia 15 rep

Hi all
Well done for taking the positions on and all the best to you both.

How can we find out the best way to divide the region up to get the best coverage for all our Anglia members?
I don't want to see the area fragmented into loads of small groups but it would mean more members could meet up and be involved. No one wants to travel miles in the winter after work.
The summer is not such a problem we could meet at each others venues, more ride outs.
With me moving to the North of Norwich, (south east) Nick is nearer to me. The Plough will realy only be a camp over option.
Can I propose we think about were the catchment areas are for members before every one puts there name forward to be a Rep or assistant rep.
I know what I'm trying to put across wether I have explained it is another matter.

Re: Nick DJ Acting Anglia 15 rep

Hi Chris,

I think maybe one way to go with what you're saying is, as an option, to have one Rep for Anglia and several meeting places around Anglia where assistant/helpers/anybody (use which word you like!) can hold meetings in their area and contribute towards driving the club forward, like you, I and many others would like to go.

In my opinion, we need to keep the club as one region, that being Anglia 15, and not split it into seperate areas. So like i said before, have one one region, Anglia, and several meeting points.

I think this is what you mean?

Look forward to seeing you at the meeting,

Tealess

Re: Nick DJ Acting Anglia 15 rep

Hi Tealess
Yes I think were on the same wave length. I definately only want one region and that is Anglia.
Met up with Paul Salter ( skylark ) last Saturday. Due to recent health issues he does not want to promote big shows with overnight stays. The Country show is safe as it runs its self. But the proposed weekend bike show will now be a one day show on Saturday the 7th of August 2010. On the same vein as Thetford & Wimbotsham but hopfully a lot bigger.
Details to follow when published.
Thanks Chris FXDX

Re: Nick DJ Acting Anglia 15 rep

Hi all it`s taken a while to get to grips with acting as Rep.
It`s the monthly meeting at the Plough this week and this topic is on the agenda for discussion.

I have spoken to Kev Scrivener twice now and as Tealess has stated I will only be Acting Rep until the AGM.
Also we cannot vote on anyone else, but may ask people to act as assitants to give them chance to see what it may entail, again until the AGM

Tealess and I are working towards making the region accessable to more and uniting the region, not splitting it.

I have sent emails with more details for disscusion at the meeting, please try to attend.
Nick DJ Acting Rep

I know we have to do things correctly even if it is only a motorcycle social club

Cool Re: Nick DJ Acting Anglia 15 rep

Hi All,

Would it not be an idea to arrange an Extraordinary General Meeting for the specific purpose of voting in the new Area 15 Rep and assistant reps. This way all will be sorted before Christmas and then all efforts could be concentrated on events etc for next year.

Wishing you safe riding

Steve Gleeson

Re: Nick DJ Acting Anglia 15 rep

Thanks Steve, we could have done this for Friday`s meeting but Tealess and I did`nt feel it was needed.

The Christmas meal is organised and I am attending the Reps meeting in Shrewsbury this weekend on behalf of the region.

Little else needs sorting before next season and it gives people more time to think wether they would like to take a more active role.
Richard is acting as ass Rep to get an idea of what it entails and after his move Chris M may also.

I have also sent a request to our members asking if they would like a named post if they do not feel able to give enough time to being a Rep or Ass Rep
This was dropped on us to an extent but everyone seemed happy with our plans at Fridays meeting.
Nick
