Re: Meeting of the 2 halves

Yep 10 to 10:30 for a meet up and bit of lie telling for a 11:00 leave.

Someone who knows the pretty way will have to lead to Aldeburgh though.

Not a problem Paul I know a nice cross country route from Dickleborough to Aldeburgh just over an hours run
Just a suggestion as not sure what your plans are for the route home but some of us could ride on with you to Beccles Mcd's for a coffee/Fuel this would put you back on the A143 for Bury & A1066/A134 for Kings Lynn. Or you may have already planned your routes home.

Re: Meeting of the 2 halves Sunday 15th April

I'm not going to be able to make this one now after all.

I've just got back from Blackbears Open Day, and my RK has been running like shit. No acceleration without misfiring, and the engine management light keeps coming on and off.

I'm just about to go out and run the diagnostic sequence and see what fault codes are stored, and go from there.

It wouldn't be any fun trying to ride it tomorrow in this state.

Have a good ride out tomorrow lads, and I'll see you at the AGM next week.

Brian.

Re: Meeting of the 2 halves Sunday 15th April

That's a real shame Brian, I mean who are we going to take the mickey out of now. Ah well It will have to be me I suppose

Seriously I hope you cure the poor running and may I suggest that if the petrol smells a bit like thinners it could be that it's off and needs some fresh stuff. When I worked in the bike shop a long time ago we'd get this a lot with bikes that weren't used for up to 4 weeks at a time.

Hope that helps and if it does you're buying at the AGM

Re: Meeting of the 2 halves Sunday 15th April

Paul, the petrol is new. I filled it up from empty, and it's started since this. It might be bad petrol anyway even if it's new. My other suspicion is that I've also just put the tank back on, just before I filled it up. I've got a suspicion the vent pipe is crushed under the console. The bike runs ok if you don't try to gun it. Another reason could be battery terminals, they've been on and off a lot lately...did I tighten them or not.

Whatever it is has started since I put the tank back on and filled it with fuel...I'll find it, but at the moment....I can't be arsed.

Brian.

Re: Meeting of the 2 halves Sunday 15th April

Thanks to everyone for a great day, despite the cold and showery weather. Was nice to catch up with Mick & Di again, hope you all got home safely and did'nt get too wet...I managed to hit two heavy but luckily short duration hail storms on my way back home from Beccles Mcd's, open face helmet was not a good choice Oh well its all part of the biking experience Hope to see you all at the regions AGM on Saturday
