| Police blow up broken-down car after dozy tourist parked it just yards from the Houses of Parliament Any Londoner will tell you you can't leave your car for a minute without incurring the wrath of the capital's traffic wardens. One poor tourist learned today you risk more than a fine when you park illegally on the city's streets. Anti-terrorist police evacuated Parliament Square and carried out a controlled explosion on Nima Hosseini Razi's dark blue Ford Mondeo after he abandoned it just yards from the House of Commons and Westminster Abbey. Mr Razi inspects the damage caused to his Ford Mondeo by the controlled explosion When Mr Razi's car broke down in Storey's Gate, he slipped a note on the dashboard explaining 'this car is broken. I am just waiting for the AA to arrive. Please do not fine! Thank you, yours sincerely'. He then decided to pay a visit to Buckingham Palace, just a five minute stroll away. While he was gone, police spotted the car and deciding it was a security risk to the nearby Houses of Parliament, evacuated the area so they could carry out a controlled explosion. A note left on the dashboard reads: 'Dear Sir or Madam, this car is broken. I am just waiting for the AA to arrive. Please do not fine! Thank you, yours sincerely' Bemused: The shocked driver talks with officers as his car is towed away When Mr Razi - a MBA student at the University of Wales visiting London for just 24 hours - returned from his sightseeing trip, he found swarms of police officers scouring the remains of his mangled car. To add insult to injury - a traffic warden arrived on the scene and issued him a ticket, after being alerted by the police. A City of Westminster parking attendant pounces on the car, issuing Mr Razi ticket Adding insult to injury: The dozy driver now has to pay a hefty fine on his blown-up car |

Chancer. If you call the AA,you don't go wandering off. Hope they asked to see his card, then checked if the call was logged. If not, fine him for wasting police time, and give him a bill for the explosives. |

I dont think he planned to leave the car there he broke down. Police are real P****S most of the time, after blowing his car up, they alerted traffic wardens to put a ticket on. Nice. |

A car bomber would not have left a note like that on the dash would they! Abandoning a car there and going sightseeing! What a tosser, some cannot see further than the end of their nose ![]() If it was a suspect vehicle and the police did nothing they would not be allowed to forget it and heads would roll. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
