Its a well known fact the we British/English have invented most sports played around the world and England gave the world football the saddest thing is we've been left behind by other coun tries who now show us how to play football but as for Scotish football ,the art of being left behind has been turned into an artform north of the border

I read or heard on the radio somewhere recently that London has provided more England players than anywhere else although Lancashire had provided the most England players proportionatley

In the first FA rule book there is no mention of goalkeepers and the game is based more on a rugby-type structure, where players could not pass the ball forward. Scotland has a fantastic claim to have developed the modern game.
