Near Wipeout...

Pleasant run this morning, down to Aylesford Priory for the Kent Vintage do. On the way home on 7 mile lane I was off roaded by a tractor pulling out in front of me, the driver had a girl sitting in the cab on his kne and both were on mobile phones, and the Polish bastard told me it was my fault for not anticipating his move...

Witness's and Police involved...

Bike ok no damage,me shaken and stirred...

Should have told him, maybes theres something to what he said, because he looked like an asshole so you should have treated him like one and stopped.

Re: Near Wipeout...

I was at the national limit just gliding along at 45/50 ish had to swerve into oncoming traffic luckily in the distance, mounted a grass verge and then slid on a bit of a path and stopped

A real wobble. Im feeling the effects of the adrenalin shock..

Thanks, Chris, Charlie, Casbar and Mantis....

Lucky for you you didn't have a high kerb to take on your escape route. Bet your stomach was in your mouth.

Quote:
The Highway Code

  • try to be understanding if other road users cause problems; they may be inexperienced foreigners or not know the area well especially if from Poland
  • be patient; remember that anyone can make a mistake even you
  • don't allow yourself to become agitated or involved if someone is behaving badly on the road. This will only make the situation worse. Pull over, calm down have a stiff drink and, when you feel relaxed , continue your journey
  • slow down and hold back if a tractor pulls out into your path at a junction. Allow them [driver and girlfriend] to get clear. Do not over-react by driving too close behind to intimidate them that's if you are still on the road
  • take extra care on country roads and reduce your speed at approaches to bends, which can be sharper than they appear, and at junctions and turnings, which may be partially hidden. Be prepared for slow-moving tractors or mud on the road surface. Make sure you can stop within the distance you can see to be clear. You should also reduce your speed where country roads enter villages.
  • If you don't follow this DirectGov.org advice and shit yourself there is always this available on line.
