XLCR First Public Outing.
Finally got the XLCR out this morning, for its first public outing, after some mechanical work & other tittivations.Down the Cafe on Cleethorpes seafront. Glorious. Here's a few pics

Looks fantastic Grahame, those badges have come up looking good and the zebrite works well, glad you looked where to put the side stand could have been messy down the drain! Hope you didn't get a parking ticket on those double yellows.

There's a very simple answer to that, Tony. The XLCR was a sales disaster. Styled on the Z1 Kwaka and, in part, the old cafe racers.

You can imagine how that went down with the MoCo's faithful buyers of the late 1970s...the 1%er/''if it ain't a Harley it ain't s**t'' crowd, now airbrushed from corporate history.

Except for their customising ideas, of course!

I reckon now as a modern Sportster it would sell well. The British and European markets being far more important today than they were in the 1970's. Anyway a joy to see it. Here's dreaming.
