if anyone is interested in learning a few tips or techniques on the guitar, i can recommend this guy, justinguitars.com
he is the guitarist with katie melua, and is a very talented player, and does lots of very good free lessons on youtube. i find him very easy to learn from and have learnt three new songs today!!
he is on youtube under justinsandercoe for lessons, and justinsandercoesongs for song lessons.

Backing tracks to play along to (great for getting timing right or practicing a bit of a solo over ) that you download as MP3 files, load of generic ones i.e. 12 bar blues in the key of C plus a loads of artist / song specific ones.

If youhave the money or, erm a file sharing program, check out Guitar Pro, a great tabbing program that plays the tab back to you which is a big help.
