Given up the ciggies

Finally managed to stay off the ciggies for more than one day.Been one week so far.Money I have saved so far (last weeks and this weeks) has paid for ANOTHER new battery for my sporty .
Must say, I dont FEEL any better for it ,and may have picked up a new addiction in the form of Extra Strong Mints ,but the financial benefits are quite startling. Not only did I used to buy a packet of ciggies ,but I would also invariably buy a can of Coke or a bar of choccy,or both .

The only thing I am worrying about is losing my rather slim figure.

Re: Given up the ciggies

Its actually the second time Ive given up. The first time I managed it for eight years, unfortunately whilst my dad was in hospital dying of lung cancer I started again...work that one out .

Still got a way to go,but to be honest ,all im missing is the habit of smoking, not suffering any withdrawal symptoms at all. Maybe I should stop talking about it though, cos I could murder a fag right now

Re: Given up the ciggies

Amazing what you save at around .30p per fag.... Well done Sal.

I also intend giving up, but first I have to overcome the booze, sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll life style that I wish I could live.

Fcuk it, I'll stay with the beer and the fags..........for now...:0DD990EE3AE44 3BC84E

I stopped for twelve years and swore I'd never smoke again, though going back to 2003 and the lakes rally, p!ssed as a tw@t I finally gave in... Having such a good time and all.....Wasn't my fault.....

Just goes to prove once a smoker always a smoker, though for a time I was a smoker who simply chose not to smoke.......
