Re: Left Hand Drive

I believe also, to comply with EEC regulations, that the exhausts have to be changed, ie if your exhaust pipes pass to the right of your engine, then they must be changed to pass to the left of your engine, so that exhaust emissions pass into the road & not onto any pedestrianised area. Exhausts that pass both sides are exempt.

Re: Left Hand Drive

Don't forget to change the headstock alignment shims.

Bikes sold on the continent have the headstock aligned for LHD roads, roundabouts etc, obviously those in the uk have RHD shims.

It's always a good idea to change these before travelling abroad or you may get handling problems.

I think all bikes sold in the EU after '92 had to have adjustable cams fitted to make this easier, but if not you may need to buy some different shims

Cheers,
Rob.

Re: Left Hand Drive

I would like to thank you all for your very helpful 'technical' tips - as those who know me will confirm, I don't do 'technical' so your input to this most serious matter, has been invaluable

Thank you
