Nice one MB, the government would love to have 'legal' cannabis then they can tax you on it, play into their hands....good idea

Will that stop the 'privateers' from pushing their sh1t outside our schools?

Wake up and sniff the sh1t

Lets not forget this is the Beer Tent?

Maybe we should all sit in the "circle" as we ponder this dilemma?

Re: Legalise cannabis petition

Alcohol & cigarettes are each responsible for thousands of deaths every year, provably far more than the total count for all illegal drugs yet you fully partake in them, no? So who decides what is right and wrong.

I as a responsible adult I reserve the right to do with my body as I will, & I am fully aware of the detrimental effects they may have upon me.

If my actions have a direct or indirect effect on anybody else, then I fully expect to be berated until then just give me a break, and let me live the life I choose.

The problem in my experience is that most people who take cannabis are children ie. under 18. With many it is a phase they will grow out of. However for a significant number there are very strong harmful side effects. I know because I deal with it daily. I used to think making it legal would be a good idea but I am much less certain. The old chestnut cigs & booze do more harm is hardly worthy of serious comment. When did 2 wrongs make a right?.

Re: Legalise cannabis petition

You don't often hear the words 'hard drugs' and 'responsible adult' in the same argument. Maybe some can deal with drugs (hard or soft) but a lot can't. And that often impacts on family, friends and those around them. Better to be lucid.... or at least only temporarily out of it IMHO of course.....

Re: Legalise cannabis petition

Problem is, most drugs are illegal at the moment, and guess what,- the system isn't working. Just perhaps the time has come for a rethink.

A bit trite that,I think it is a serious consideration.
Everything is bad for you in excess...drugs, booze, fags, sex,but
the very idea that someone else can take my hand and lead me down the straight and narrow is farcical.Better to inform people and let them make their own mind up.
