Four vehicle pile-up!

A mate of mine (we’ve be ridin’ together on and off for 30 years) was on the way to work last Tuesday, 23rd Dec, when a ‘Skip’ lorry, decided to change lanes without warning, smashed into a Honda (car, only a couple of days old) which in turn, T-boned an Audi and pushed it onto the other side of the carriage-way into the path of Stuart who was coming in the other direction.

Stu, anchored-on, but the Buell he was riding started to ‘go’. Being a trials rider he ‘managed to ‘kick’ himself back up-right but his Ulysses (and him) hit the Audi.

The cops were on the scene pretty quickly. The Audi driver was covered in blood, the cops thought the Honda driver was dead, but luckily for him his car had ‘all-round’ air bags and after they cut him out he was OK.

As Stuart was walking about, the cops got him directing traffic, after about 35 mins, Stu’s foot was giving him some grief, (and it turns out he’d broken the ‘ball-of-his-foot’)

Needless to say he hadn’t been drinking!

Stu then rode his Buell to work, although a little bent in places, look at the Audi, a Buell did that

But the best bit , is the opening 6 lines of the report on the front page of the local rag ‘The Express and Echo’…………………

“Christmas shoppers making a last-minute dash into Exeter faced major delays after a four-vehicle smash on the main route into the city……………………………………………. the incident caused a major heartache for thousands of shoppers heading into the city for last-minute bargains,”

Isn’t that cr4p? Friggin’ Christmas shopping, is it that important?……..

You gotta larf!
