Can't get the hang of this cold weather, don't know if the old memories starting to give up, but I can't remember a winter quite like this before.

I can't really remember the winter of 47-8 as I was only 3 years old but I can remember very clearly the winter of 62-63 and I was 19 at the time: this one is almost tropical in comparison so far. I can clearly mind 10ft + high snowdrifts and it seemed to go on for ages. It was fun riding our bikes in that weather, though I wouldn't do it now, far too much traffic on the roads, I was stationed here in N. I. at the time, it was a really hard winter, I think it lasted nearly a couple of months of bad weather, maybe more!

Good morning all, another nice clear frosty morning, trouble is, wifey away to work so I'll have to do a bit of ironing, us rufty-tufty bikers have to do our chores!
