Pics as promised...

Set off about nine thirty. Heading for Columbia State Park as I said. When we got there though it was full of Tourists. Barely room to swing a cat, so we rode on through & got lunch somewhere else instead.... A rather good Chile Verde in a small Spanish only Mexican Taqueria....Yum!

Here are some odd pics of the ride around today though.......

Stopped for a break & a fag in San Andreas. The same San Andreas as the San Andreas Fault. The Earthquake fault line that runs almost the length of the State. Kept quiet today thank you.

Funnily enough yesterday was the 103rd anniversary of the Great San Francisco Earthquake of 1906. A large disturbance of .......The San Andreas Fault.

Like most small towns on Hwy 49, San Andreas is old & `quaint` by California standards.

The door up on the wall is called a "Mother in Law door" in this part of the world:............."Need to use the loo Mum?..........Straight out the door over there......Mind the step now........Oops!"

Main Street.

Top Class "Fixer Upper", right off Main Street.....Good side of town!

Re: Pics as promised...

Next stop Angels Camp. An old mining town built over & around hillsides, creeks & old gold mines, Katina in the corner there.

Re: Pics as promised...

Swung back around the long way through Tuttletown & around New Melones Reservoir.

Melones Bridge....

Reservoir looks awfully low doesn`t it? It is unllikely that we will get much more rain this Spring & the snow run off won`t even make a dent in that water level.

With our Mediterranean climate, after the last rains in April or even early May, there will not be even a drop until October.

Looks like water rationing may be coming this year.

So..........All the best from the Nor Cal Region for this week...

Oh yes, had to take another of those pesky Demo Bikes that needed miles put on it.

Got home around four. Quick shower, cold one & posted this.

Middle of the afternoon sunday mate.......Siesta!

When you & Lorraine are over we are going to be doing a little Gold Panning mate. If you know where to go it is almost impossible not to find a good bit of dust or a small nugget. At todays rate this one is worth about fifty pounds...
