| Wot a Twat....LOL YouTube - British Prime Minister Makes Major Slip at D-Day Ceremony Gordon Brown at the D Day landing celebrations in Normandy was talking about the landings on Omaha Beach on 06/06/1944. When he called it Obama Beach Oh dear. When a politician is down, nothing seems to go right. So it was for Gordon Brown when he spoke at Saturday's D-Day commemorations to mark the 65th anniversary of the landings. Hailing the cooperation between the United States and Britain, he said: "Next to Obama Beach, we join President Obama in paying particular tribute to the spectacular bravery of American soldiers who gave their lives." Perhaps his mind was on other things. |

| Re: Wot a Twat....LOL Missed about 15 mins at the beginning; very moving watching those old guys, was at Bayeaux and Arramanches about 4 years ago. Must admit I had a bit of moisture in my eyes watching them, they are real heroes, not those plonkers that the media go on about when they go onto a football pitch! Why doesn't Brown just Go??

It was p*ssing down at Arromanches, the youngest of the veterans is 83 years old and yet they were standing out in the rain while McBroon and a f*cking horde of other 'dignitaries' stood under cover. If this modern bunch of shirkers, idle wankers and so called ‘statesmen’ had any shame at all (or even just common old fashioned good manners), then they’d have stood in the rain and let the real heroes stay dry. After all, I reckon they earned it!!! A.
