| Ride out in Portugal
On my way back from Portugal in October can't wait to ride out in groups in the UK again. Do most riding on my own here communication issues! This week though the guy who does much of the customising in Lisbon (he is brilliant) organised us to show our bikes at an air day and in return we got a free lunch and beer. Great day out over 40 Harleys not quite the disciplined group riding as back home but great people. Note to self take care in group you are not used to.

Baza Yes I am and I can't wait all you guys sound really bike mad and I look forward to meeting up then. We have just bought a house in Gosport and we return at the end of October. I came from the area years ago so I know my way around. The only issue is getting the bike back in one piece unscathed. I would love to ride it all the way but the time is difficult and with a three gallon tank and an uncomfortble seat my back may just not arrive at the same time as me!

Easy mate just take the route to Bilbao and let the ferry do the rest. Have you got into dialogue with The New Forest crew yet? |

Or turn to the East and visit us Coasters when you fancy a ride.

Yeah I could do both ! as I will live in Hampshire but bought the bike at Shaws in Sussex. Two important questions though who drinks the most Beer and who eats the worst food! Both are good. I have not spoken to the New Forest guys yet but I have been reading all their posts with interest since I joined. I reckon all the regions have really good banter with each other. I see your map and I have been thinking its about 800 kilometres which would be good but I am a seriously bad sailor. I step in a puddle and throw up.

Now I have done the crossing from Spain in October, and would not advise anyone to take it if you have not got good sea legs, twenty nine hours on that ferry and rough seas is not fun trust me .Again the ride is great but only if the weather holds out .Best thing to do is crate the bike up and fly home . Graeme The main food in Portugal is fish. Can you imagine how it will smell by the time I get it home. Pete Thanks for the advice I suspected as much. I may take that option so long as I can get it crated well. My stuff is coming home in part of a container. While I am on. I asked before about the Old Bills response to Vance and Hines Staggered Shorties with the quiet baffle. They look great on the Nightster and sound even better but will I get away with them.
