Oddly enough, they are not sold in the Australia or NZ markets either. Down here in Oz, they would be a natural mile muncher. Guys here do big big miles on their glides. I love the Road Glide. I think with the right paint it is sublime. Someone was asking the difference....they have a FRAME mounted fairing, not handlebar mounted. Owners report far superior resistance to wind and mega-miles in extreme comfort. Mal of the NE region has a very rare 1998 Road Glide. It was the first one, and the only one with an Evo engine. Its predecessor was, of course, the FLT and FLTC Tour Glide series. The first Harley to have a frame mounted fairing, five speeds, and a rubber mount engine. That was in 1980. |

| Re: Do you guys have Road Glides in the UK? Not one of those things. ![]() This is my idea of a 3-wheeler..... ![]() I've always wanted a genuine Morgan but it would almost certainly be prohibitively expensive, and this little beauty has a Harley engine powering it. Furthermore if the handling's anything like as good as a genuine Moggy, it'll not only knock spots off a "conventional" trike but most Harley solos as well!

Ahh yes what a fine machine the FLT was. Seriously unpopular at the time in the UK, and were very cheap in the day. I bought 1 in '87 just for the engine and box, as I planned to fit rigid frame, apes, etc......made the mistake of riding it on a couple of long runs, and loved it as it was. I still remember the grief I got from my riding buddies of the day!!![]()

I tried a Road Glide with an early twinky a few years ago. I found the screen was a bit too far away and caused a mild buffeting round the helmet which got on my wick, it was a relief to get back behind the Batwing. The aerodynamics of the Batwing can be a bit weird, with raindrops circulating behind the screen and raining up my face but the constant head shimmy with the frame mount jobby made my neck feel loose. ![]() As for those brakes. I've got a pair of those under lock and key. Have to keep them that way because they once tried to kill me.
