Do you guys have Road Glides in the UK?

You are right we don't get that model the nearest is the FLHX Street Glide and the FLHT Electra Glide. What make and size are those handlebars?

Thanks. Very nice. Sometimes you can special order them for here, but they're as rare as hens' teeth.

The inside finish of those Vetter-designed fairings looks sooooooo much better than the batwings.

I owned a Road glide for a few years one of the first twin cams. It was tricked out stage 2 with all the screaming eagle bits and pieces. Very fast and good handling.

Big Trev still has one and I believe Rocket Ron has/had a screaming eagle special. I think Kiwi Dave has thought about it. The roads just ain't long enough here to get the best out of it. What with me living on an island that can be rode around in an hour it was wasted on me so I sold it on. Loads of interest, but mainly from over the channel, it went to Spain.

They don't really lend theirselves to customising IMHO. But everyones different.

I have a Street glide butalways quite liked Road Glides but other than the fairing are they any different from other Glides?

I suspect part of the appeal for me is the fact that they are not available over here therefore quite rare

I thought I had heard they are not available over there so I guess I was right..hummmm..interesting. This bike is one that grows on you the more you look at it. At least this is how it was for me.

You definitely have to have long extended roads to really get the best use out of this bike. This bike is at it's best when traveling 129 + Kilometers per Hour. It gets in a grove and plants itself to the highway. The fixed fairing actually help keep the bike planted to the ground and makes it less prone to cross winds and head winds. You can pass Semi Rigs on the road without being blown around. Anyways, I love this bike and have put a lot of extra stuff on it since I bought it in May. I've had 1200 sportster customs, springer softails, etc and I have to admit, this is by far my favorite to date. Probably because it is like the bastard child of Harley and nobody typically gives them any thought.

The handlebars are BR Custom Cycle bars. They are handbuilt from scratch in Fredonia NY. Page 1
