Re: If you can't beat 'em........

I am very impressed, it just goes to show that even the smallest jobs can become big in the wrong hands

It's okay for you Scousers Ray; you've been brought up from an early age breaking into cars, hot wiring the ignition, welding two cars together etc. it's in your blood.

It's probably my age.

Well, whatever the reason, it's finally happened..................

I have tools!!!!

In my "workshop" !!!!!

And I've actually used them!!!

So far I have:
  • Removed, cleaned, re-greased and re-fitted the Twin Air filter
  • Re-routed breather pipes through to the air box.
  • Replaced rad shrouds and seat.
  • Changed the oil, filter and sleeve
  • Dropped the rear wheel out to get a puncture repaired (hopefully re-fitting that tonight)
At the weekend I am going to hard-wire a Road Angel GPS (with Ordnance Survey mapping for green laning) to the battery and fit an in-line fuse to a water proof accessory socket which I'm going to fit behind the headlight shroud.

So far I've only tinkered with the KTM but the Harley is on my list for an oil change in the next week or so.

I reckon I've saved about £50 so far if you discount the hundreds and hundreds of pounds on cabinets, oil, filters etc.

So, am I a spanner? Ferkin right you are.

Didn't know you were into the kinky stuff as well, with the harness hanging up on the wall, or is it a kidney belt.

1 other thing, get that feckin mess cleaned up on the floor. Tut, mechanics these days.

It's not a harness or Natra's spare kidney belt, it's a Kriega Hydro 3 back pack

Terror, Colin - sorry!

Not yet.
The bike is now completely blathered in mud (and much worse) after yesterday's ride in the North York Moors so the patch of oil and grease is now covered up by dirt.

I was going to suggest that you invested in a bag of cat litter to soak up the oil, then I remembered....

Maggar + cats =
